Some periods of our lives can feel like a haze; we follow routine and each day bleeds into the next.
Or, we may be caught at a turning point where we must make a decision, the way unclear and uninviting from all angles.
ebb + flow represents being caught in the motions of life, unsure which way is forward and which way is back. What do we want? Where should we go? It’s daunting, overwhelming, scary but we continue through the fog to find the other side.
Open-bite etching, along with sugar lift, produces unpredictable surface textures from the etch. Some are jagged, some are hazy. Pockmarks dot the surface and ink gets caught in deep crevices.
